Corns and Callus

Corns and callus are areas of thickened skin in response to repetitive pressure and friction. Corns are often very painful and have a hard centre known as a corn nucleus. They often appear on top or in between the toes, the end of your toes or on the ball of your foot.

Callus on the other hand, can develop anywhere – usually the ball of your foot and heel. Needless to say they can heavily impact your life, limiting your activities and even the choice of footwear.

We offer a range of treatments at 1st Foot Podiatry such as sharp debridement, orthotics to redistribute the pressure and a new advanced injection treatment called Curacorn (Hyaluronic acid gel filler). Some corn types can be prevented by ensuring you moisturise your feet every day.
